Specialty Engine Components: The answer to SPEED

The Flow Network

Flow Network Solution

PROBLEM:

Restricted cold weather lubrication of rear-wheel-drive transmissions.

CAUSE:

Cold weather causes transmission fluid to thicken and cease to flow through radiator and cooling lines, depriving the overdrive section of adequate lubrication and causing accelerated wear.

RESULT:

Premature transmission failure.

SOLUTION:

The Flow Network

HOW IT WORKS:

When transmission fluid stops flowing through the radiator, the Flow Network directs a controlled amount of fluid to flow straight to the overdrive section.

Specialty Engine Components invented The Flow Network, with design support from Chrysler Transmission Engineering, to enable operation of automatic transmissions at extremely low temperatures. The Flow Network uses advanced fluid dynamic effects to facilitate the flow of highly viscous fluids at temperatures as low as -65 degrees F. This enables drivers to use automatic transmission vehicles in cold weather conditions that would otherwise cause failure or severe damage to the transmission.

The Flow Network automatically regulated fluid flow according to temperature and viscosity, ensuring the proper operation of the transmission throughout the entire operating range of the vehicle.

This Proprietary technology can be easily adapted to fit any application in which the flow of highly viscous fluids must be controlled.
